Will of Richard RYMELL Yeoman of the parish of Frome Selwood

In the name of God Amen the 12th day of October in the five and thirtieth year in the reigne of our sovereign Lord Charles the second now King of England anno domini 1683 I being sick and feeble in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be therefore given to Almighty God do make and ordaine this my perfect last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping through the meritts death and passion of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to inherit everlasting life and my body I commit to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently buried according to the dissuasion of my executrix hereafter named and as touching the disposition of such temporal estate as it has pleased God (far beyond my departs) to bestow upon me. Inprimis I give unto my brother Robert RYMELL my ( illegible) Item I give unto my brother Christopher RYMELL two shillings and sixpence Item I give unto my brother John RYMELL two shillings and sixpence Item I give unto my brother Anthony RYMELL two shillings and sixpence all the rest and residue of my personal estate goods and chattels whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto Mary my beloved wife whom I make my full and sole executrix of this my last will and testament revoking annulling and making void all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made and do ratify and confirm this to be my last will and testament and none other. And I desire my father-in-law Richard PRYOR and my loving neighbour Thomas CARY the elder to be my overseers to see that all these things be faithfully performed according to my will after I am interred and for their pains and care and I give unto them twelve pence apiece. In witness whereof I the said Richard RIMELL has to this my last will and testament set my hand and seale but the day and year first above written signed Richard RYMELL sealed published and declaredin the presence of (the mark of) the Richard Prior Elizabeth WRENCH?
